A statement was issued that Wicked ride, a partner firm of Bounce will receive a license from the Karnatak Transport Department for electric bike taxi services for the commuter. The government has fixed the rates for e-bike taxi services. The tariff is Rs.25 for 5km and Rs.50 for 10km distances. Only e-bikes taxi will be included in this accordance with Karnatak Electric Bike Taxi Scheme 2021.
As per a senior officer, they will provide the license to the operator within a couple of days and it will be announced publicly. This license will be valid for 5 years from the date of issuance of the license. According to the sources, one of the official representatives of Bounce has said that they will use new kinds of e-bikes for this transportation service, especially for women passengers who will get benefit from it.
